Devon rex

A photographic experiment around the Devon rex, where the subject becomes a field for graphic research.

Across a series of shots, the project explores the textures, the contrasts and the detail of the coat, the skin and the shapes of the body. Photography becomes a way of looking again at a familiar subject, playing with light, with framing and with shifts in matter.

Between softness and contrast, each image works to bring out an almost abstract dimension of the subject, until the animal itself becomes photographic matter.
