Scarface

This editorial project explores Scarface through an analysis of its textual and visual content. The film is broken down, catalogued and turned into data, to build a graphic reading of its world.

The dialogue was analysed word by word: the more often a term appears, the larger it is set. The film’s images are sorted by theme as well, then laid out across the edition.

The book becomes a statistical representation of the film, where the words, the images and their frequency bring out its structure and its obsessions in another way.
