01 Identity and interface redesign

Nemo News

Rethinking cantonal news.

Year
2025
Format
iOS and Android app

Nemo News is the official app of the canton of Neuchâtel, where residents follow the news and events of public and semi-public bodies. In 2025 I took part in its graphic redesign and in the design of its new interface, within the canton’s IT department — the Service informatique de l’Entité neuchâteloise (SIEN).

The visual identity was rethought from the ground up around a monogram built from two “N”s, drawn from the cantonal colours. The aim was a mark that is simple, recognisable and flexible enough to work inside the app as well as across other media.

The interface was restructured around the news feed, to make the information clearer and more personal. Users can pick their sources and topics, manage their notifications, and go straight to the Culturoscope events calendar.

A project at the meeting point of graphic design, UI and institutional communication, with one plain goal: to make a large volume of information readable quickly, clearly and intuitively.
